MOMENTUM BUILDS Building off of the year before, the 2020 Starkey Special saw two additional teams venture out to Foxford Hills Golf Club in Cary with the hopes of immortalizing their names on the coveted Starkey Special Trophy The tournament looked a little different in a pandemic year... with masks donned, and with a 40 person coach bus to transport the athletes, the competitors were able to adjust to to the times to square off responsibly. |

REACHING A CLIMAX The growth continues to explode going into 2021. There will be 10 teams, a total of 20 athletes, competing for the prestigious championship at Stonewall Orchard Golf Club in Grayslake, Illinois. Who will emerge victorious? Can this momentum continue for years to come? Only time will tell. |

GOING PARABOLIC
The Special continues to see expansion that is rivaled only by the early 2000s tech bubble. In the 2022 Starkey Special, 32 athletes squared off across state lines at Mascoutin Golf Course in Wisconsin. Four different houses (Hillside, Safari, All American, and Lodge) formed two separate alliances, Team Safari vs. Team America in a battle for the ages. Team America emerged victorious. |

UNSTOPPABLE FORCE
2023 presented challenges that were overcome with ease. ER visits, extreme heat, monsoon storms, and power outages were no match for Starkey Special V. Team Beers squared off against Team Bloodys for a 2 day, 2 course competition in Southern Indiana, with Team Beers prevailing. The coveted Starkey Special Trophy met it's demise and shattered into a thousand pieces, but fear not- the Starkey Special will endure on. |
